How to Choose a Site for a Multi-Span Greenhouse

The following multi-span greenhouse construction expert explains how to choose a site:

1. When choosing a site for a multi-span greenhouse, choose a flat surface. The soil temperature should not be too high, and avoid hills and buildings that block light. For planting and growing, choose an area free of pollution. Additionally, for areas with significant monsoon weather, consider the greenhouse's impact resistance. Generally, a greenhouse should be able to withstand winds exceeding level 8.

2. After selecting a location, consider the greenhouse's orientation. Based on operational experience, greenhouses in northerly regions are best facing west. A west angle of 5 to 10 degrees is recommended. This allows the greenhouse to generate more heat. If multiple greenhouses are constructed, the distance between them should not be less than the total width of the greenhouse.

3. Choose a symmetrical lighting shed. It is recommended that the greenhouse be located in a north-south orientation, with the greenhouse buildings located on the north and south sides. This orientation ensures even distribution of crops within the greenhouse. 4. Greenhouse masonry installation. If the greenhouse wall material has good thermal insulation properties, the greenhouse's construction should be in accordance with local standards and utilize materials with thermal insulation and heat storage properties. The key here is that the greenhouse's interior and exterior walls must have heat storage capabilities to store heat. At night, this heat is released to maintain a balanced temperature in the greenhouse. Both concrete, slate, and mud walls have heat storage capabilities. Greenhouse walls are typically constructed of brick, concrete, and mud.
