Polycarbonate sheet, abbreviated as PC sheet, is a high-performance thermoplastic engineering material made from polycarbonate resin through extrusion and molding processes. Renowned for its excellent impact resistance, high light transmittance, weather resistance and thermal insulation, it has become an ideal alternative to traditional glass and acrylic sheets. Widely used in agricultural greenhouses, industrial skylights, building canopies, advertising light boxes and other fields, it is a core material for modern facility agriculture and green building construction, especially favored in glass greenhouse renovation and agricultural shed construction.

Core Material Properties

1. Superior Impact Resistance

PC sheet has an impact strength 250-300 times that of ordinary glass and 30 times that of acrylic sheet, withstanding heavy impacts from hailstones, strong winds and external forces without cracking. It is shatterproof and safe to use, eliminating the risk of glass fragmentation and injury, making it the first choice for agricultural greenhouse covering materials in areas with frequent hail and strong winds.

2. High Light Transmittance & Optimal Light Adjustment

The light transmittance of clear PC sheet reaches 80%-90%, close to that of float glass, and it can transmit natural light evenly. Special diffused PC sheets are available, which can convert direct sunlight into soft diffused light, avoiding crop sunburn and improving light utilization rate in greenhouses. It also filters harmful ultraviolet rays (UV transmittance ≤1%), protecting crops from UV damage and extending the service life of the sheet itself.
